| Steel... A LePera tradition, Keeping with our 40 year tradition, we are one of the only seat companies still using steel exclusively for all of our seat bases. Our steel bases have helped build our reputation and year after year, have set us apart from the rest. In the last four years, there have been many changes made to Softails, Sportsters and Dynas. We've made all of the necessary modifications for the proper fit, in fact, in all three models we've made completely new steel-forming dies. Our perfected forming process has created our company's cleanest and tightest fitting base plates ever. For us, there is simply nothing like the secure feeling you get from steel. All of our brackets are securely welded or bolted with weld nuts to each plate - something not possible with fiberglass or plastic. After checking out our seats, you'll never look at another base plate the same way again.
